EDUCRAFT AI

EDUCRAFT AI

We chose AI in education because traditional tools just can't keep up anymore. Teachers spend hours planning, grading, and handling student differences—leaving little time for actual teaching. Students, meanwhile, learn at different speeds and need clearer explanations and personalized support.

So we asked ourselves: “What if lesson plans could write themselves?”

AI makes that possible. It automates routine tasks, adapts content to different learning levels, and offers real-time feedback so teachers can focus on teaching, not paperwork.

The Challenge

The Challenge

///Many teachers are not fully trained to use technology beyond basic tools, so AI often feels intimidating rather than empowering. Limited access to devices, unstable internet, and unequal digital exposure across urban and rural schools add to this barrier. Additionally, teachers worry that AI may replace their role or undermine traditional teaching practices. With already heavy workloads, learning new systems feels like an additional burden. So while AI promises efficiency, personalization, and innovation, the real challenge lies in bridging digital literacy, building trust, and ensuring access—so teachers see AI as support, not stress.

The Goal - Gen AI in the Indian Education

The Goal - Gen AI in the Indian Education

THe goal - to create a generative ai specially for teachers in the indian eductaion system

/// Most globally recognized AI platforms for education (Khanmigo, MagicSchool.ai, Google Gemini) are designed around US/Western curricula and generalized pedagogy.

There’s a clear market opportunity for AI platforms that are deeply integrated with Indian curricula, language diversity, and classroom practices.

AI can reduce lesson planning, assessment creation, and grading burden, which is a major pain point in Indian classrooms.

Existing platforms often automate tasks but don’t guide teaching strategies or differentiated instruction effectively.

Research and Data AnalysisUsing AI to process information, analyze data, and explore new ideas while maintaining critical thinking Eg. Semantic Scholar or Elicit
(help students find academic papers, summarize research findings, and analyze data quickly while still requiring human critical thinking to interpret results)
Skill DevelopmentBuilding three core competencies: AI Literacy - Understanding how AI works, its limitations, and ethical implications Prompt Engineering - Learning to effectively communicate with AI systems Critical Thinking - Evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and reliability Eg. Prompt Engineering Example: ChatGPT or Claude.aiagnetic card
Interactive Learning ToolsAccess to AI-powered games, virtual reality, and augmented reality experiences for engaging learning environments Eg. Google Expeditions (VR) or Merge EDU (AR) These tools use virtual or augmented reality to make subjects like history or science more engaging for example, exploring ancient Egypt or the solar system in 3D.
Natural language processing ToolsNatural Language Processing (NLP) Tools Grammar analysis and correction Style feedback Content improvement suggestions Writing skill development Example: AI-powered virtual tutors at National University of Singapore for writing courses
Language Learning ApplicationsLanguage Learning Applications Natural Language Processing (NLP) for language learning Vocabulary acquisition Grammar practice Conversational skills development Eg. Duolingo using AI to adapt lessons to proficiency levels
AI assistantsVoice-activated helpers to handle classroom logistics: Record-keeping and note-taking Controlling classroom displays and technology Providing reminders Managing simple organizational tasks Eg. Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa for Education, SchoolAI
Lesson PlanningAI tools to help create and adapt lesson plans, including: Generating curriculam suggestions (tools like Teachino) Creating case studies for classroom use Finding and adapting instructional materials Customizing content for specific student needs E.g. - Teachino, ChatGPT Edu, Khanmigo for Teachers
Administrative supportAdministrative Task Automation Scheduling classes Resource management Routine administrative processes Freeing time for instructional planning and collaboration E.g. - IBM Watson Education, SchoolAI, PowerSchool’s AI Tool
Predictive Analysis for student SuccessEarly identification of at-risk students Academic failure or dropout prediction Analysis of attendance, performance, and demographic factors Enabling targeted early interventions E.g-Civitas Learning, IBM Watson Education Insights, BrightBytes
Virtual Clasroom ManagmentOnline teaching facilitation through: Video conferencing Screen sharing Interactive whiteboards Real-time student engagement monitoring Participation tracking Dynamic classroom management E.g - ClassDojo, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams for Education, Zoom for Education, GoGuardian
